PIPEDA Statement

TowerWatch is built and operated to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This page summarises how we apply the ten fair information principles. For the full detail, see our Privacy Policy.

The ten PIPEDA principles, applied to TowerWatch

  1. Accountability — The Founder is the accountable Privacy Officer: team@wildfire-ready.ca.
  2. Identifying purposes — We tell you why we collect data, in our Privacy Policy.
  3. Consent — Opt-in for non-essential data uses (notifications, etc.).
  4. Limiting collection — Minimum necessary, nothing more.
  5. Limiting use, disclosure, retention — Only what's described in our Privacy Policy.
  6. Accuracy — You can edit your profile at any time.
  7. Safeguards — Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest; access controls; data residency in Canada.
  8. Openness — The Privacy Policy is public.
  9. Individual access — You can export your data; correction requests are honoured.
  10. Challenging compliance — Email team@wildfire-ready.ca. If unresolved, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
