The fire has had no significant growth since the date of detection and is now classified as Being Held. This was due to success in suppression efforts. With the resources assigned and the current conditions, we do not expect this fire to grow beyond the pre-determined boundary or perimeter.  The fire has a guard established around the entire perimeter and ground crews are working to complete a 100 foot wetline, pushing in from the guard. Helicopter support continues as required. As of May 4, 2026, the Cariboo Regional District has rescinded the Evacuation alert for the Webster Creek wildfire.
