This wildfire is the result of overwintering fire activity becoming more visible as snow melts and temperatures rise. These wildfires are being monitored through helicopter reconnaissance flights. Fires burning in more remote areas - farther from communities and infrastructure and showing low potential for growth or impact - are being actively monitored. Response officers continue to assess conditions and adjust tactics as needed.
